Core setup

1

Log in and get oriented

Sign in at admin.heymilo.ai and take a quick tour of the sidebar. See Logging In & First Look.
2

Pick your interview type

Decide how candidates will be screened: voice/video, SMS, form, resume, or a combination. See Interview Types for when to use each.
3

Create your first interviewer

Click Create Interviewer, paste your job description, and let HeyMilo generate an interview plan. See Creating an Interviewer.
4

Set questions and scoring

Review the generated questions, define what strong and weak answers look like, set weights, and mark dealbreakers. See Configuring Your AI Interviewer.
5

Test it yourself

Click your interview link and complete the interview as a candidate before going live. You’ll catch confusing questions and flow issues immediately.

Before you scale volume

1

Verify your sender domain

So invitation emails don’t land in spam. See Sender Domains.
2

Set up email templates and branding

Customize invites and reminders, and make candidate-facing pages match your brand. See Email Templates and Interview Branding.
3

Connect your ATS (optional)

Sync candidates in and write results back automatically. See ATS Integrations & quickstarts and Write-back Configs.
4

Invite candidates

Share the interview link directly, blast a batch, or let your ATS send invites. See Inviting Candidates & Driving Completion.

Once results come in

1

Review your first candidates

Read score reports, transcripts, and recordings, then advance or decline. See Reviewing Candidates.
2

Calibrate scoring

Read a few full transcripts alongside their scores. If scoring feels too strict or too lenient overall, see Adjusting Scoring (Interview Evaluation).
3

Add a teammate

Invite the rest of your team with the right roles. See Teams & Permissions.
