System roles

Predefined roles that come with HeyMilo. You can’t edit them, but you can duplicate one to use as a starting point for a custom role. Click View permissions on any role to see exactly what it can do.

Create a custom role

Custom roles let you give people exactly the access they need — like a hiring manager who reviews candidates but can’t change billing.

Go to Settings → Roles

Click Create your first custom role

Or duplicate a built-in role using the copy icon on any system role card.

Name your role and configure permissions

Enter a Role Name (for example, Hiring Manager) and Description. Expand each permission category to select what this role can access.

Click Create Role

Assign the custom role to teammates from the Team page.

When building a custom role, permissions are grouped into these categories: Each category shows how many permissions are selected (for example, 0/4). Expand a category to toggle individual permissions on or off.
