> Connecting your ATS to HeyMilo is how most teams get jobs and candidates into the product automatically and push results back without copy-paste.

# ATS Integrations

**Two different “Integrations” places**

* **Sidebar → Integrations**: **ATS**, **Indeed**, account-wide connections, webhooks, etc.
* **Interviewer:** Click into an existing **interviewer → Integrations** — **Inbound** (Share Link, Add Manually, Ingestion Gateway, …) for **that** role’s candidates.

You’ll use **both** in a mature setup: ATS keeps the system of record in sync; **Share Link** / ingestion still matter for sources outside the ATS.

### Why connect an ATS

* **Fewer manual steps**: New applicants and jobs appear in HeyMilo without re-keying.
* **Better completion**: Automated invites and reminders across channels (when configured).
* **Cleaner recruiting ops**: Scores, notes, and stage updates can **write back** to the ATS (per your Writeback settings).
* **Consistent pipeline**: Stage mapping ties ATS stages to what should happen in HeyMilo.

### How connection works (high level)

Auth styles differ by ATS:

* **OAuth**: You approve HeyMilo inside the ATS (common for Greenhouse, Lever, Bullhorn, etc.).
* **API key / token**: You paste keys or secrets HeyMilo requests (common for some enterprise ATS tools).
* **Webhooks**: You register a URL the ATS calls when events fire; HeyMilo shows you what to copy.

### After you’re connected

1. **Confirm jobs**: Open **Interviewers** and verify postings/jobs look right.
2. **Stage mapping**: Stage mapping so pipeline moves make sense.
3. **Writeback**: Writeback so recruiters see HeyMilo outcomes in the ATS.
4. **Test**: One real or test candidate end-to-end before you scale volume.

### Troubleshooting (quick)

| Symptom           | Check                                                                     |
| ----------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **OAuth fails**   | Admin permissions in the ATS; pop-up blockers; try incognito / reconnect. |
| **No candidates** | Stage triggers, webhook events, or job linkage in the ATS; field mapping. |
| **No writeback**  | Writeback toggles; ATS field permissions; stage mapping.                  |
| **Wrong job**     | Which requisition/posting is linked to which HeyMilo interviewer.         |
