If you're starting from an [Agent Library](/draft-docs/tools/ai-settings/agent-library) template, it's even faster. Just customize the questions and go. **Can I test the interview before sending it to candidates?** Yes! Click the interview link yourself to experience it exactly as a candidate would. We strongly recommend doing this before going live. **How many interviewers can I have active at the same time?** There's no limit on the number of active interviewers. Create as many as you need for your open roles. ## Interviews & Scoring **How does the AI score candidates?** The AI evaluates each response against the scoring rubrics you defined when setting up the interviewer. Each question gets an individual score, and the overall score is a weighted average. See [How Scoring Works](/draft-docs/getting-started/log-in/how-scoring-works) for the full breakdown. **Can the AI ask follow-up questions?** Yes. For voice/video and SMS interviews, the AI asks intelligent follow-up questions based on what the candidate says. This makes conversations feel natural and goes deeper on important topics. Form interviews don't have follow-ups. **What happens if a candidate drops off mid-interview?** Their progress is saved. For SMS interviews, they can come back and continue where they left off. For voice/video (phone), if the call disconnects, they may need to start over (depending on your settings). **Can I change questions after an interviewer is live?** Yes. Changes apply to new interviews going forward. Candidates who already completed their interview aren't affected. See [Cloning, Editing & Archiving](/draft-docs/interviewers/cloning-editing-archiving). **Are scores comparable across different interviewers?** Scores are relative to each interviewer's rubrics and criteria. A 4.0 on one interviewer isn't necessarily equivalent to a 4.0 on another. It depends on how strict or lenient the rubrics are. **Scores feel too strict or too lenient across the board?** You can tune workspace-wide scoring with Knowledge Base prompts. See [Adjusting Scoring (Interview Evaluation)](/draft-docs/tools/ai-settings/scoring-calibration-guide). ## Candidates **What do candidates need to complete an interview?** For voice/video: a phone (for voice) or any device with a browser (for video). For SMS: a phone that can send/receive texts. For forms: any device with a browser. No special apps or software needed. **Can candidates redo their interview?** By default, candidates can only complete an interview once. To give one candidate a retake, open their profile and use **Allow Retake**. To change the rule for everyone, set the retake policy on the interviewer's Settings tab. **Do candidates know they're talking to AI?** Yes. HeyMilo is transparent about the AI-powered nature of the interview. Candidates are informed at the start that they're completing an AI-assisted screening. **What languages does HeyMilo support?** HeyMilo supports multiple languages for interviews. See [Languages & Voices](/draft-docs/tools/ai-settings/languages-and-voices) and [Multilingual Support](/draft-docs/interviews/interviews/multilingual-support). ## Integrations **Which ATS platforms does HeyMilo integrate with?** HeyMilo integrates with 12+ ATS providers including Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Bullhorn, Workable, Salesforce, and many more. See [ATS Integrations](/draft-docs/integrations/ats-quickstarts) for the full list. **Does writeback happen automatically?** Yes. Once configured, interview results (scores, notes, stage moves, attachments) automatically sync back to your ATS. No manual steps needed. See [Write-back Configs](/draft-docs/interviews/interviews/write-back-configs) and your provider's [ATS quickstart](/draft-docs/integrations/ats-quickstarts). **Can I use HeyMilo without an ATS?** Absolutely. Many teams use HeyMilo standalone: creating interviewers manually, sharing links directly, and reviewing candidates in the HeyMilo dashboard. An ATS integration is optional. ## Troubleshooting **Candidates say they can't access the interview link** * Check the interviewer deadline. It may have passed * Verify the interviewer is still active (not archived) * Try the link yourself to confirm it works * Make sure the candidate is using the correct link (not an old or different one) **My completion rate is low** * Check if interviews are too long. Keep them under 15 minutes * Send follow-up reminders 2-3 days after the initial invitation * Make sure your invitation email is clear about what to expect and how long it takes * Try a different interview type.
