# Interview settings

# Interview Settings

Per-posting settings: retakes, timing, scheduling, delivery mode, and feature toggles.

## Retakes

Control whether candidates can retake the interview and how often.

| Setting             | Description                                                                                                         |
| ------------------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Max retakes**     | How many retake attempts are allowed (1–10).                                                                        |
| **Retake cooldown** | Days the candidate must wait between retakes (0–365).                                                               |
| **Admin override**  | When enabled, admins can grant an extra retake for a specific candidate from the candidate list (**Allow Retake**). |

**Where to set:** Posting → Interview Settings (or equivalent in your workspace).\

## Duration & Timing

| Setting              | Description                                              |
| -------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Min duration**     | Minimum interview length (seconds).                      |
| **Max duration**     | Maximum interview length (seconds).                      |
| **Deadline**         | Application deadline; links expire after this date.      |
| **Days to complete** | How many days candidates have to complete the interview. |

## Scheduling (Voice/Video)

| Setting                  | Description                                   |
| ------------------------ | --------------------------------------------- |
| **Scheduling URL**       | Link to calendar (e.g., Cal.com, Calendly).   |
| **Availability windows** | When voice/video interviews can be run.       |
| **Redirect URL**         | Where to send candidates after the interview. |

## Delivery Mode

How strictly the AI applies your rubric in the score report:

| Mode                    | Description                                |
| ----------------------- | ------------------------------------------ |
| **Reference only**      | Rubric as guidance; natural evaluation.    |
| **Summarized delivery** | Summarized evaluation against criteria.    |
| **Exact delivery**      | Strict scoring against the defined rubric. |

## Budget Configuration

| Setting           | Description                                   |
| ----------------- | --------------------------------------------- |
| **Budget amount** | Max spend for this posting.                   |
| **Budget type**   | `alltime` (total cap) or `daily` (daily cap). |

## Feature Toggles

| Feature                      | Description                                                                                                                               |
| ---------------------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Phone calls enabled**      | Allow phone-based voice/video interviews.                                                                                                 |
| **Knockout questions**       | Enable deal-breaker questions.                                                                                                            |
| **Video interview**          | Enable video for browser-based voice/video interviews.                                                                                    |
| **Resume requirements**      | Require resume upload.                                                                                                                    |
| **Cheat detection**          | Turn on **Detect suspicious activity** to flag coached answers, a second person in the room, and similar signals on the candidate report. |
| **Candidate communications** | Enable/disable candidate notifications.                                                                                                   |

## PDF Report Configuration

What to include in exported PDF reports:

| Setting                | Description           |
| ---------------------- | --------------------- |
| **Include transcript** | Full transcript.      |
| **Include chips**      | Tag chips.            |
| **Include highlights** | Candidate strengths.  |
| **Include lowlights**  | Candidate concerns.   |
| **Report version**     | PDF template version. |
